Requirement for Official Visa

1. Passport holder who work in International Organization., INGOs, and NGOs and whose purpose of the visit is either under consultant contract with Myanmar Government or registered UNOs or INGOs or NGOs in Myanmar can apply Official Visa.
2. Original Passport with at least six month validity and available visa pages. (Non-American passport need to provide Green Card copy or Document showing legal status in the U.S.)
3. Duly filled one Official Visa application form with two photos taken within the past six months. The “Visa Form” and “Work History Form” must be filled completely.
4. The request letter from the Organization in U.S. and the invitation letter the Organization in Myanmar with a copy of its valid registration certificate according to Myanmar Association Registration Law.
5. Copy of Flight Schedule/ Itinerary
6. Payment can be made payable to “Consulate-General of Myanmar” in Cashier's Check or money order only. Payment arranged through Cash/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Personal Check is not accepted.
7. Prepaid Self-Address Return Envelope.
   (For those who apply through courier services can use FedEx, UPS or USPS with Tracking Number. Consulate-General of Myanmar assumes not responsible for any delay or loss of mail or documents while under the custody of courier services. The applicants shall not reuse the tracking numbers of all used and submitted envelopes.)
8. Incomplete applications will be rejected at the counter. Incomplete applications through courier service will be sent back to its original destination.

Visa Information

• The validity of Official (single Entry) is three months from the date of issued, which cannot be renewed or refunded.
• The stay for the Official visa is 70 days, which is extendable.
• Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa validity varies from Minimum 3months to maximum 1 year from the date of issue. Duration/ period of stay in Myanmar restricted to ten weeks from the date of arrival.
• Application of Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa is considered and issued on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Visa Officer. However, first time visitor for business purpose are not eligible to apply Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa. Those who want to apply Multiple Journey Entry Official Visa need to submit the personal letter and details program.

Photography Guide

• The photograph must have been taken within the last six months
• The photograph should be taken in color and must be with a white or off-white background.
• Side or angled views are Not accepted.
• Photo Size: 35 mm x 45 mm or standard photo of 2 in x 2 in
• Photo Appearance: The photograph must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
• Digital Photos: Digitally reproduced photographs must be reproduced without discernible pixels or dot patterns.
• Photocopied photographs are NOT accepted.
