Requirement for Tourist Visa
- Original Passport with at least six months validity and available visa pages.
- Duly filled one Tourist Visa application form with two photos taken within the past six months. The “Visa Form” and “Work History Form” must be filled completely.
- Document as an evidence of the visit either copy of air ticket/ itinerary, confirmation letter from the tour operator or hotel reservation.
- Payment of USD 40 (US$ Forty only) per applicant for Tourist visa fees can be made payable to “Consulate-General of Myanmar” in Cashier's Check or money order only. Payment arranged through Cash/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Personal Check is not accepted.
- Prepaid Self-Address Return Envelope.
(For those who apply through courier services can use FedEx, UPS or USPS with Tracking Number. Consulate-General of Myanmar assumes not responsible for any delay or loss of mail or documents while under the custody of courier services. The applicants shall not reuse the tracking numbers of all used and submitted envelopes.) - Incomplete applications will be rejected at the counter. Incomplete applications through courier services will be sent back to its original destination.
Visa Information
The stay for Tourist Visa is exactly 28 days, which in not extendable.
The validity of the Tourist Visa is 3 months from the date of issue, which cannot be renewed or refunded. Myanmar Mission will issue visa for completed application as soon as receive it. Visa Processing Time - Minimum 3 working days for complete application.
Photography Guide
- The photograph must have been taken within the last six months
- The photograph should be taken in color and must be with a white or off-white background.
- Side or angled views are Not accepted.
- Photo Size: 35 mm x 45 mm or standard photo of 2 in x 2 in
- Photo Appearance: The photograph must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
- Digital Photos: Digitally reproduced photographs must be reproduced without discernible pixels or dot patterns.
- Photo copied photographs are NOT accepted.
