The Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Los Angeles would like to announce that the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar will be granting “Visa On Arrival” to the Ordinary Passport Holder Tourists from Italy, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Germany and Russia who are entering Myanmar through the International Airports of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw starting from 1st October 2019 until 30th September 2020, under a (1) year trail period.
Furthermore, the Ministry has stated the following terms and conditions for those tourists from Italy, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Germany and Russia:
(1) US$ 50 will be collected at the respective entry points as “Visa On Arrival Fee" and visitors will be permitted to stay in Myanmar for (30) days,
(2) “Visa On Arrival” will be granted to visitors for the tourism purpose only,
(3) Duration of stay is non-extendable,
(4) “Visa On Arrival” holders shall:
- be abided by the existing Laws and Rules and Regulations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar,
- travel freely to all places except from the restricted areas,
- be denied to enter into Myanmar if the concerned authorities from relevant security organizations and department reject the entry based on the security requirements,
- depart from any International Port of Entry/ Exit.
