The Forum was organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER) in collaboration with the US Embassy, the Embassy of Japan, the American Chamber of Commerce – Myanmar, the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Myanmar, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Japan External Trade Organization and US Commercial Services with the aim of highlighting Myanmar's investment potential amidst a global economic shift toward Asia.

Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin participated at the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) held in Caracas, Venezuela from 20 to 21 July 2019 and delivered a statement in the debate under the theme “Promotion and Consolidation of Peace through Respect for International Law”. The Ministerial Meeting was presided over by the current Chair of the Movement, Minister of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and attended by 78 Member States of the Movement and 4 observer States and 7 international organizations and 2 countries as special guests.

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi addresses the third anniversary of the Second Hluttaws in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday (1 February 2019).

The draft resolution on “Situation of Human Rights in Myanmar” tabled by the European Union (EU) was considered for action on 22 March 2019 at the 40th Regular Session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva.
